Q. I recently started seeing this guy, he went away on holiday, and now i don't want him anymore. How do i break the news?

A. You should do it face to face so wait until he comes back. Telling him over the phone or on msn is not a good way! It's happened to me that way and the person just ends up bitter because the other person didn't even have the decency to say it to their face.
Then, when he does come back, arrange to meet up. Don't go out on a date e.g. a cinema, because that will just distract you from the task. Go for a walk, or just pop round to his place to chat.
Don't take ages breaking the news. As soon as you meet up tell him quickly but calmly. Be nice - maybe you still want to be friends? Or compliment him saying how you think he's a great guy but you just don't feel the same anymore. Just get it over with as gently but firmly as you can. Make it clear what you want without totally pissing him off and looking mean. Hard, but possible.
Don't back out of it - you will only regret it. Just do it! It will be better in the long run for both of you.
